Electrical Air Heater

Electrical Air Heater

SKU: HRR

T+H air heaters type HRR consist of tubular heaters or finned tubular heaters assembled into a sheet metal housing made of zinc plated steel or stainless steel. According to the requirements given by the specification the housings can be adapted to various applications as per the illustrations indicated beside. For most applications finned tubular heating elements are used as their increased surface area allows low surface temperatures on the heating elements thus providing a low watt density and a long lifetime with reduced housing dimensions.

WHAT ARE ELECTRIC AIR HEATERS TYPE HRR?

Electrical air heaters Type HRR from Türk+Hillinger are complete, ready-to-install duct air heating solutions. They consist of tubular or — in most cases — finned tubular heating elements (Type RHR) mounted within a robust sheet metal housing. The housing is typically made of galvanised steel or stainless steel, with flanges for easy integration into ventilation ducts or air handling systems.

These heaters are designed for forced-air heating applications, delivering high power in compact dimensions while maintaining low surface temperatures on the heating elements thanks to the finned design.

Key specifications include:

  • Power range: 2 – 108 kW

  • Housing dimensions: from 250 × 250 × 108 mm up to 800 × 800 × 250 mm (custom sizes available)

  • Voltage: 400 V or 480 V three-phase (star or delta); other voltages on request

  • Materials: Galvanised steel or stainless steel housings; high-grade steel (1.4541) for tubes and fins

ADVANTAGES OF ELECTRIC AIR HEATERS TYPE HRR:

HRR air heaters offer reliable, efficient performance for industrial air and gas heating:

  • High efficiency and compact design: The use of finned tubular elements provides a large surface area, enabling higher power output in smaller housings, lower surface temperatures, and reduced overall length.

  • Long service life: Low watt density and reduced sheath temperatures minimise stress on the elements, extending operational life.

  • Application versatility: Ideal for ventilation and air conditioning systems, paint and varnish drying, shrink wrapping, process engineering, and apparatus construction. They deliver uniform temperature distribution with minimal risk of overheating sensitive materials.

  • Safety and control: Can be equipped with thermostats, temperature limiters, and interlocks to operate only when airflow is present. Options include low pressure drop designs and protection for higher-temperature or maritime applications.

  • Robust construction: Durable housings with options for sealed air gaps, high insulation resistance, and various protection classes (up to IP64).

These heaters excel in applications requiring controlled, reliable heating of moving air or gases with high energy efficiency and safety.
