This type of heating cable is ideal for applications that demand consistent power output throughout its entire length, along with excellent flexibility and robust resistance to extreme temperature fluctuations ranging from -50°C to +200°C.
The manufacturing process for this cable enables it to be cut to various lengths in line with the contact intervals, which are typically spaced 50 cm apart.
It comprises two insulated silicone conductors that are alternately exposed at 50 cm points. A resistive wire is wound around them to form a parallel electrical link between the conductors. The outer silicone sheath, designed to resist tearing, ensures superior flexibility, durability, and strong electrical insulation.
To make an electrical connection, strip away the outer insulation, remove the resistive wire, and separate the two conductors. This procedure must be carried out at both ends of the heating cable, with particular care at the end opposite the connection point to prevent any risk of short-circuiting.
